Are You Ready To Give Up On Your Calling?

People have this idea that they must pursue a particular vocation to live up to their calling. While this is logical, it is also inaccurate.

Let me tell you a quick story about a recent event where this became crystal clear to me.

I have the calling to inspire and empower people to become wealthy, delightfully wealthy. And the only way I thought this was possible was to become a life coach and motivational speaker.

However, something about it was not right. It was July 2020 when I found myself at a crossroad.

I remember talking the matter over with my wife. I knew it was a fantastic opportunity to pursue, but it wasn’t convincing me that it was the way. I was fortunate to have another option that I could follow, an opportunity in marketing.

Today, I am marketing, and it is bliss. As time went by, I came to realise that I am in fact, living my calling.

My wife was kind to remind me recently that all I had to do was to be Reinhardt. Her statement stuck with me, and I am reminded daily by her words, and it is a blessing for me and everyone I encounter.

The conclusion I arrived at is that what you are being is far more important than what you are doing. For what you are being overflows into the choices you make and what you do. Suppose you are being love, generous, kind, encouraging, and inspirational. In that case, it will naturally lead you to what you must be doing. When you are more obsessed with being, the doing becomes irrelevant.

We are called human beings, not doings.

Be more of what you want. Be the change you want to see, and the doing will follow naturally.
