Giving and Receiving

Zig Ziglar said that if you help enough people to get what they want; you will get what you want.

It is a fair statement, and it is true. If you are committed to giving and to make other people rich, life has a way to provide you with the riches you want.

It is in our nature to want more, to do more and to be more. It is by having good health, an abundance of wealth and deep love (happiness) that we can do the things which are essential for the advancement of life, for everyone.

The trouble for some is that they are happy to receive, but when it comes to giving, they find it excruciating. What these folks don’t realise is that life is about accepting and sharing those beautiful gifts which are bestowed on them, not hoarding it.

Jesus makes a good point when he says that we should not be hoarding earthly possessions where moth and rust can destroy it, but to gather heavenly treasures. Those sacred treasures lie in giving, in making more life for everyone.

Love finds its most natural and spontaneous expression in giving. So, when you find yourself not wanting to give, take a moment to pause and reflect on why you are withholding, as to what is blocking the love to flow.

If you’re going to give to satisfy your swinish pleasures, you are bound to crash and burn. Give, grow and advance for everyone’s sake.
